About Mrs. Morman
I am a Chicago native who loves to travel, read and write. I was born in the city and the first time I left was to relocate to Charlotte, NC. While in Illinois, I attended Northern Illinois University. During my undergraduate career, I studied journalism. I was born with the talent of writing but I knew I wanted to learn the art of writing in a formal setting. While attending NIU, I also minored in English and psychology. I knew that someday those college credits would aide in the pursuit of my other passion: educating and mentoring youth. Following my graduation from NIU, I started graduate school to pursue a master’s degree in journalism. After volunteering with the youth and teaching in an informal setting, I decided that I wanted to make a change. Many years after graduation, I moved to Charlotte, NC. Soon after, I started my teaching career with some inspiration from teachers in my family.
